March 4, 2021 by Design Are Themes

Blogs can be improved with add-ons commonly available on the Internet. However, it is important to use them with caution. Here are some selected widgets that you can’t miss on your blog!

In This Article:
  • Author profiles
  • RSS Feed
  • Social media plugins
  • Social media buttons
  • Comments
  • Newsletter signup form
  • Buttons that encourage users to follow your SM profiles

Author profiles

If you are open to cooperate with other authors on your blog, consider creating widgets with author profiles that will allow them to publish content “under their own banner. ” Inviting other people to create content for your site is a great opportunity to gain a wider audience. Each of the authors creates content of a different nature, and therefore can attract readers with a variety of interests and tastes.

RSS Feed

RSS users are usually less active than subscribers, but nevertheless, it is a popular form of communication. Ensure a good location of the RSS feed button and place it in a visible place, preferably in the “side bar”. If readers can easily find it, you can count on benefits comparable to those of a newsletter.

Remember that even if a person is interested in an entry on your blog, after some time they may have trouble finding it again. The RSS feed successfully solves this problem.

Social media plugins

In addition to the elements listed above, you can of course install other, equally interesting add-ons to your blog. The internet is full of plugins, widgets, and other interesting tools, from which you can choose the one that best suits your needs and the nature of your blog. It is a good idea to install widgets showing selected Twitter entries, the latest news from a given field, or a linked company logo.

Social media buttons

Posting high quality content and providing visitors with buttons integrated with popular portals such as Facebook, Twitter or Google+ is a simple way to build presence in social media. If you want to reach a wide group of users on these popular websites, make sure to add buttons that allow readers to share content to every newly added article. An Internet user interested in your post will gladly share it with friends by clicking “Like” or “Tweet”.

Widgets

Comments

Adding a comment section on the blog is a great way to start a dialogue with readers, initiate interesting discussions on the topic, or obtain information on users’ expectations. Thanks to the comments, users are more engaged on the blog and provide valuable feedback. On the other hand, the Skilful use of information obtained in this way can contribute to improving the quality of published content and to developing an effective content marketing strategy tailored to the recipients.

Newsletter signup form

If you want people that occasionally browse your blog to turn into loyal readers, offer them a subscription to your content. That way you will be able to inform them by e-mail about new articles, which will encourage them to visit the blog. Make sure that the newsletter contains a direct link to your post and that it is visually attractive.

You can also include links to other content, subpages, notes, etc.

Buttons that encourage users to follow your SM profiles

An attractive blog means that users not only impatiently wait for new posts but are also often open to something more than just regularly posted content. This creates opportunity to recommend them our social media accounts, where they will find not only extra content, but also a more interactive one (as we know it from Facebook and Twitter).

Integrating a blog with a social media account is an interesting option for companies wanting to attract as many customers as possible, as well as for creators who want to present themselves to the widest possible audience.
