The Elementor extension has proved to be a great help for everyone who creates and edits pages in WordPress. This plug-in is completely free and can be installed by anyone on their WordPress CMS system. The system working on the principle of “drag and drop” allows you to skip switching from editing mode to preview mode – everything we do on the page; we can view here and now. It greatly shortens working time and gives the possibility to better evaluate the effects of our work immediately. In Elementor, We can change entire layouts and specific page elements, sections and columns, work on the template from scratch and expand/improve it constantly. More importantly, working using this tool does not slow down the page’s performance.

How to start using the Elementor plug-in?

Installing and getting started with this extension is very easy. Just open the WP repository, enter “Elementor” in the plug-in search box, and then install and activate it. Most of the WP themes will be Compatible with Elementor, but not all of them. However, some themes work extremely well with it. Among the popular and frequently used themes are Astra, Hestia and Ocean WP.

In the free version of the plug-in, 40 elements are available to apply and edit on the page. These include text fields, headers, social media icons, bullet points, the side panel, placing YT videos or Google maps. The plug-in divides the page we edit into sections, columns and elements, where we can customize and arrange everything according to our vision, from colour to advanced options. However, for those who don’t want to work on details on their own, the Creators of Elementor have also prepared an arsenal of pre-made pages and blocks, which can be simply placed.

Who should use Elementor?

This intuitive plug-in will be especially Suitable for beginner web developers. However, its functionality will also be appreciated by professionals. At the beginning of our journey with WP, a free version of Elementor is enough. Once we have mastered working with it, we can switch to the Elementor Pro version, which can be easily activated. The Pro version unlocks many helpful features that will be useful when improving our website. It offers many of the free features in advanced editions, such as the advanced photo gallery.
